Hot Stone Massage on St. Simons Island

Hot stone here is an unhurried session that uses warmed stones along the body with massage. The pace is closer to Swedish than to deep tissue. Tell your therapist if a stone feels too warm. Sessions are by appointment in our third-floor studio on Frederica Road.

Who this is for

  • You want warmth and a slower pace

  • Swedish sounds right, with stones added

  • You prefer not to book deep tissue today

What to expect

Book the hot stone service so the stones are ready. Mention any areas that are sensitive to heat. The stones are placed and used with the massage; they should feel warm, not scalding. Wear something easy to change out of.

FAQ

Is this the same as Swedish?

Related. Swedish is flowing massage without stones. Hot stone adds warmed stones to that quieter pace.

Can I get deep pressure with hot stone?

Tell your therapist. The session is not a deep-tissue appointment unless you book that service.

Are the stones too hot?

They should feel comfortably warm. Say so at once if one does not.
